Their bed making skills are impressive, but I want to highlight the role of innate instinct and intuition that facilitated bed making. Many animals have developed ingenious solutions to survival issues, and they didn't use logic and reason, per se, to get there. They weren't constricted by the scientific rigor of experimentation and falsification. They had a gut feeling that ash would keep the bugs away and it worked! No ancient scrolls of scientific studies on bed making have been found at these archaeological sites.
