Every time I hear a scientist say something like "This plant has developed a remarkable strategy for survival" I want to ask how a plant strategizes. Strategic decisions arise from cognition, and plants do not have brains. The word "strategy" is in direct conflict with the fundamental scientific belief that evolution happens blindly and by accident.
